Services

Three jobs. We won't sell you the wrong one.

Roof deck between rafters coated in spray foam

02

Spray foam on the roof deck

Bonus rooms and hot roofs that should sit inside the conditioned house. Not a swap we quietly make for a blown-in top-up. Foam has a cure smell. Blown-in does not. The notes are on spray foam insulation.

Gloved hand sealing a pipe penetration in a plywood attic floor

03

Air sealing, before the first bag

Cans, top plates, chases, bath fans, and the hatch. Fill over a leak just hides the hole. Every blown-in job starts here. The notes are on air sealing.

04

Rodent proofing

We close the holes roof rats use to get into the attic. Hardware cloth and sheet metal, not spray foam by itself, and not chicken wire. We do not set traps and we do not put out poison. If the animals are still inside, a licensed pest-control company gets them out first.

The Boca listing

Insulation companies in Boca Raton

Cardinal Insulation is the insulation company at 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431. One Boca pin. Call (561) 654-7698. Blown-in attic insulation is the first service. The headings below are the searches a homeowner types. Each one is a job this shop does, not a second address.

Attic insulation installation in Boca Raton

The attic job is a vented ceiling. Air-seal the plates, the hatch, and the fans, then install blown-in to an even R-38. Florida's code floor is R-30. The method is on blown-in insulation in Boca Raton.

Home insulation services in Boca Raton

Home insulation here means the attic of a house, not a commercial metal building and not a crawl space. Open attic, bonus room, and a garage lid under a bedroom are the three home jobs. The house page is residential insulation.

Residential insulation in Boca Raton

Residential means the same house, with the ceiling as the boundary. Tile does not insulate the rooms. The shop covers 33431, 33432, 33486, 33487, 33434, 33433, 33496, 33498, and 33428 from 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431. There is no second residential office.

Fiberglass insulation installation in Boca Raton

New blown fiberglass is about R-2.5 per inch. Settled fiberglass already in the attic is about R-2.2. It is the usual install on a Boca top-up because it is light enough for a plaster lid. The chart and the inches are on blown-in insulation.

Cellulose insulation installation in Boca Raton

New cellulose is about R-3.6 per inch and heavier. It goes in when the drywall and the framing can carry it. East Boca plaster often cannot. The choice is made in the attic, not from the street. Notes are on cellulose insulation.

Spray foam insulation in Boca Raton

Spray foam is the roof-deck job: a bonus room or a hot roof that should sit inside the house. It is not a substitute for blown-in on a vented attic floor. Two inches of closed-cell foam is about R-13, an air seal, not R-38. The page is spray foam insulation.

Insulation removal in Boca Raton

Dry, thin fill stays and gets topped. Wet fill, mold, and rodent nests come out before any new insulation goes down. Removal is a separate price. The Boca notes are on insulation removal in Boca Raton.

Insulation cost in Boca Raton

A planning range for about 1,800 square feet with about 4 inches of settled fiberglass, brought to R-38 in blown fiberglass, is $2,100–$3,350. A tight east-side hatch, a long West Boca run, removal, and foam move that number. It is a range, not a bid.

Best insulation service in Boca Raton

Quality Business Awards listed Cardinal Insulation as Best Insulation Contractor in Boca Raton, Florida, 2026. That is a 2026 listing, not a claim that every other company skips the work. The check you can make is the depth, the baffle, and whether the hatch was sealed. The shop is still 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431.

How a job goes

  1. 01

    Look

We measure what's there, find the wet spots, and check the hatch, the cans, and the chases.

  2. 02

    Seal

Penetrations get sealed before any insulation goes down. Fill over a leak just hides it.

  3. 03

    Install

Blown-in across the attic floor, or foam on the roof deck, to the depth we agreed on.

  4. 04

    Show you

Depth checked before we leave. You know the R-value you paid for, not a guess from the truck.

Who is the insulation contractor at 4263 NW 1st Ave?

Cardinal Insulation, Cardinal Insulation of Boca Raton LLC. Insulation contractor. Blown-in insulation is the first service. The shop is 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Call (561) 654-7698.

Where is the shop?

Cardinal Insulation of Boca Raton LLC. The shop is 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Blown-in insulation is the first service. Call (561) 654-7698.

What R-value do you install?

Florida's code minimum for these attics is R-30. Our blown-in standard is R-38. If you want to go higher, the planner on this site runs the inches before you call.

Fiberglass or cellulose?

Both work on an attic floor. Fiberglass is light and the usual choice for a top-up. Cellulose packs denser. The right one depends on what's already up there and how the attic is vented.

How long does a blown-in attic take?

A typical single-family attic is one day, including the air sealing. Spray foam on a roof deck takes longer because of masking and cure time.

Will the house smell?

Blown-in fiberglass and cellulose don't have a chemical cure smell. Spray foam does while it cures. We ventilate, and we don't treat a foam job like a blown-in job. If anyone in the house is sensitive, say so before we schedule.

Do you remove the old insulation?

If it's dry and just thin, we usually seal and top it up. If it's wet, moldy, or full of rodent mess, it comes out first. Removal is its own price. It is not buried inside a top-up number.

Is the planner a quote?

No. It's a planning range from attic size, depth, and material. It does not include removal, repairs, or a hard attic. The bid is the number we give after we see it — or after you text clear photos of the hatch and the existing fill.

Tell us the attic. We'll say if it's a top-up.

Call, or send the planner. A photo of the hatch helps.

Measured against the Florida code

The attic numbers, not a brochure

The 2023 Florida Building Code, Energy Conservation, Table R402.1.2 sets a climate zone 1 ceiling at R-30 and a climate zone 2 ceiling at R-38. Cardinal installs R-38 and checks the inches. A Florida page that lists R-49 to R-60, or R-3.2 to R-3.8 per inch for both fiberglass and cellulose, is using a different book. Table R402.4.1.1 says air-permeable insulation shall not be used as the air seal.

Quotes are prepared by Russell Y, a building scientist, BPI certified, and certified to perform blower door testing. When the door is run, the result is air changes per hour at 50 pascals, the method in R402.4.1.2. That section limits new houses in climate zones 1 and 2 to 7 ACH50. An insulation job on an existing house is not automatically that test. We report the number only when we measured it.

Insulation numbers Cardinal uses against the Florida code
ItemNumberWhat it means
Zone 1 ceiling, Florida codeR-30 minimumPalm Beach and Broward
Zone 2 ceiling, Florida codeR-38 minimumNot R-49 and not R-60
What Cardinal installsR-38, depth checkedAbove the zone 1 floor
New blown fiberglassAbout R-2.5 per inchNot R-3.2 to R-3.8
Settled fiberglassAbout R-2.2 per inch4 inches is about R-9
New celluloseAbout R-3.6 per inchDenser. Still not an air seal
Open-cell foamAbout R-3.6 per inchA roof-deck product
Closed-cell foamAbout R-6.5 per inch2 inches is about R-13

Loose fill does not stop air. The holes are sealed first. Two inches of closed-cell foam is an air-seal coat, not a finished attic. We do not quote a dollar amount off the power bill. Ducts in a vented attic stay in the heat. The shop for the Boca listing is 4263 NW 1st Ave.

A vented attic gets an air seal, then fiberglass or cellulose to an even R-38. Florida's zone 1 ceiling minimum is R-30. Four inches of settled fiberglass is about R-9, not the number on the bag when it was new. Markers go in at one per 300 square feet.

Spray foam is the roof deck, not a substitute for that blow. Removal is for wet or rodent-damaged fill. A condo with no attic is not a blown-in appointment. The city pages name the attic. They do not add a shop that is not on this list.
